Our sound
proofing composites incorporate acoustically
absorptive material (to absorb noise), with
high mass barrier (to block noise). Working
together, these 2 components can significantly
reduce noise.
Used as an internal component in stud/gypsum
board walls, Model FWC can significancy decrease
noise propagation between rooms (STC up to 27).
Where "cross talk" is the problem, as is common
in areas using suspended ceilings, Model FWC can
be used as an overlayment above the ceiling
tiles.
Model LAG 10 Composite, soundproofing pipe/duct
wrap, combines a loaded vinyl, with a
reinforced aluminum foil facing on one side,
with a quilted fiberglass decoupler which allows
the vinyl barrier to float independently of the
noise source thus maximizing performance.
Model NAC, Noise Absorber Composite, consists of
acoustic fiberglass laminated to mass loaded
barrier. When attached to an existing enclosure
or housing, Model NAC increases both its
transmission loss and its absorption
characteristics.
It is advisable that an engineered system is
devised before construction begins
to achieve optimal performance. Let NSTI design
a custom sound proofing solution for your
specific application today!
